Call for volunteers - can you help?

The Church, as with so many organisations, survives on the good will and time of a number of volunteers. However, with our increasingly busy lives, it is getting harder to secure volunteer hours. I oversee 5 churches and within these communities there are many brilliant volunteers doing an array of different jobs and experiencing the good things that volunteering offers, such as community, conversation, meaning and purpose. Having said that we are always on the look out for more.

It was Mahatma Ghandi who said “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” So, if you would like to join us in helping to run and maintain our buildings and community resources please do contact me on simon2020@zohomail.com especially if you care for the ancient churches of Turnstone, Vowchurch, Madley, Tyberton and Peterchurch.

You don’t need to have a Christian faith, just a love of either people or historic buildings or both! We will be able to put together a volunteer package to suit you in terms of time and interests from cleaning to some of our officers roles.

Revd Simon
